Elizabeth Ministry is DYNAMIC, INVITING, INSPIRING, SUPPORTIVE, ENTERTAINING, WELCOMING, ENCOURAGING, NOURISHING, EVOLVING, INCLUSIVE, COMPASSIONATE, EDUCATING... It to represents the needs of the women of our parish. Elizabeth Ministry is a fresh format for woman to woman mentoring. Elizabeth Ministry is an international movement designed to support women and their families during joys, trials and sorrows. It encourages the development of relationships and fosters the sharing of personal experiences. The energy for Elizabeth Ministry flows from the gift of compassion. It recognizes that we are by nature social beings who need one another for human and spiritual growth.
Elizabeth Ministers are volunteer representatives of a faith community that are willing to share their presence, stories, and experience in the hope that these will encourage another woman and her family.
NO MEETINGS! With today's overly scheduled calendars, no one needs another meeting. We will, however, have a monthly "Gathering" held for whoever is interested in attending. The format of the gatherings will vary from month to month. Enrichment gatherings for personal growth and education, Social gatherings for much needed down time with your girlfriends, Chat & Chore gatherings to complete a needed project, & Spiritual gatherings to help us strengthen our relationship with God.
The flexible structure of Elizabeth Ministry will assist women in recognizing their gifts and talents. It will make visible the concrete relationship of Jesus to the women of the Church. We follow the Blessed Mother's example of praising God, cherishing children and building community.
90 minutes, monthly.
Not applicable; women are encouraged to attend events of interest as their schedule permits.
