Bible Study Invitation - 4 WeeksList Item 4
Foundations of Faith: A Journey Through the Catechism: How We Worship by Dr. Edward Sri, Jeff Cavins, and Dr. Marcellino D'Ambrosio.
Why do Catholics have so many rituals? We often stand, kneel, and make the Sign of the Cross. We have various symbols in our sacred rites, including water, oil, candles, bread, and wine. We also have many formula prayers. Doesn’t all this ritual complicate our friendship with God? Can’t we just be spiritual, relating to God in a more natural and personal way without all this formal pomp and circumstance? These are fair questions. The next stop on our journey through the Catechism will help us address these questions as we begin a new section, the second of the four pillars. This pillar, titled “The Celebration of the Christian Mystery,” is about the sacraments of faith, how we worship.
Choose the session that fits your schedule:
Wednesday Mornings 9:45-11:15 a.m. Sept. 2,9,16,23
– OR –
Thursday Evenings 6:30-8:00 p.m., Sept. 3,10,17,24.
Both sessions will meet at the Parish Hall and will be facilitated by Heather Druley.

The cost is $15 for materials by Aug. 21st or $20 after Aug 21st. All are welcome!
