In church following Daily Mass. Mercy Mats
Mercy Mats are nonabsorbent, easily cleaned, light-weight sleeping mats. They provide a cushioned, pest-resistant sleeping alternative to the ground or concrete as well as provide a protective barrier against surfaces that are wet and cold. They are made from recycled plastic bags. Each mat uses approximately 700-1,000 bags, and takes approximately 10 hours to complete. We meet monthly to work together as a group to create the plastic yarn (plarn) from shopping bags that is then used by our crocheters to make the mats. Please consider joining us, no experience is necessary, and all are welcome. We meet the 2nd Monday of each month from 6:00-8:00 pm in Grellinger Hall. Jesus calls us to help those in need and this is just one way Queen of Apostles can share in that mission. Please join us for our "Cutting Party". | 14 Rosary
